Background
HOPE4HEALTH Inc is a non-profit organisation founded by Griffith University allied health students in 2006. Our aim is to improve health outcomes for local, rural, indigenous and international communities. Each year, a different focus project is selected from one of these four priority areas on a rotational basis.
The HOPE4GHANA project was our organisation’s focus for 2007. It involved fundraising to contribute to Griffith University's Dabaa Medical Centre in a rural area of Ghana, West Africa. We were successful in raising over 60,000 dollars.
Each year HOPE4HEALTH will host an Annual Jazz Dinner Dance as the major fundraiser for our focus project. In 2008 we will be raising money for The Royal Flying Doctor's Service (Queensland). 'The Great Gatsby' Jazz Dinner Dance will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday the 10th of May, 2008.
