Teddy Bear Hospital
The Teddy Bear Hospital is a world-wide initiative that was introduced to Gold Coast primary schools by Hope4Health in 2007.
The Local Teddy Bear Hospital program aims to promote healthy living to primary school children via a series of interactive workshops.
As anxiety associated with visiting medical environments, procedures and professionals can prevent individuals from seeking help when they have health concerns, the program also aims to promote positive experiences with the health care system, to ameliorate this anxiety. The current program has been designed for children in Years 1 and 2.
